BHADERKALI  ASTHAPAN  INITIATIVE

As many of you may be aware, in our small town of Wodpur, Handwara in Kashmir we had a very pious and vibrant place of worship and community gathering, lovingly known as BHADERKAL - the abode of Mata Bhaderkali (our eternal Isht Devi)

With the mass Kashmiri Pandits exodus that happened in 1990, most of the families from our small town had to uproot themselves from Kashmir and moved to other parts of India and abroad. There is a sizeable portion of the community that settled in Jammu. Over the last many decades this small community has been working tirelessly to keep our religious and cultural identity alive with the ultimate goal of...

RECREATING BHADERKAL in Jammu.

A piece of land, in the outskirts of Jammu, on the bank of river Tawi has been acquired and over the years a well-functioning Ghat has been built along with a functional bhakt/guest-rooms for people to stay over and spend some serene and spiritual time at Bhaderkal.

The ULTIMATE GOAL is to build a  TEMPLE  for our isht devi - MATA BHADERKALI

As you'll see through the picture and videos on this web-site, lot of good progress has already been made  - the temple structure is up and construction is on-going - basically dependent on the funds available to use.

As you can imagine, construction of any sort these days is expensive and for the community dream of Bhaderkal to come alive in it's full glory...

WE NEED YOUR MONETARY SUPPORT

We are looking to raise $50,000 this year to get the construction going at full-steam

PLEASE CONTRIBUTE GENEROUSLY!!!

May MATA BHADERKALI's  blessings be with you always!!!
